UNMISS ABUSES ITS OBJECTIVES AND MANDATES:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expresses disappointment over the operations of the UNMISS and would like to inform the general public that the United Nations Missions in South Sudan has abused its mandates and objectives in the Country and has been violating the Status of Fores Agreement (SOFA) in South Sudan.
The UN-Police forces have betrayed the trust of the people of South Sudan by abusing the innocent women and girls in Wau town.
On 8th Feb. 2018 in Wau town, a complaints was received alleging that UN-Police forces in Wau have been abusing the trust of innocent women and girls inside the so called UNMISS protection of civilian camps by engaging in soliciting sexual favour. This was reported by the South Sudan Police services and the reports are officially handed over to the UNMISS. UNMISS has now withdrawn 46 of its polices forces from Wau to Juba ffor this reason.
UNMISS PoC 3 in Juba is harboring and protecting criminals that from time to time come out and kill innocent people then take refuge to UNMISS PoC. This is one of strong evidence that the unknown gunmen is being protected by the UNMISS PoC Camps. latest example is that recently criminals walked out from inside the UNMISS PoC Camp in Jebel -Juba and kidnapped three brothers and murdered them in cold blood and walked back to UNMISS Camp in Juba.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on 2nd March. 2018 summoned UNMISS Chief of staff Mr. Paul and conveyed to him dissatisfaction and condemnation and urged UNMISS leadership to agree to an independent or joint investigations and not to smuggle out the culprits until these investigations are conducted and offenders brought to book for their criminal action.
